ABOUT CC SHARED SERVICES
I started my career in 1996 working for a corporate business close to my home in West London. An opportunity came up to move to Ireland with the company in 2001, so I jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back since!
In 2015 I decided to take a leap of faith and leave the safety of working for a global business and jump head first into the unknown. After 6 months of rest, relaxation and a bit of travel, I decided I was ready to enter back into the employee world again. It was then that it hit me, the job application process had changed A LOT since ’96.
I eagerly started applying for jobs and put my heart and soul into every application. I spent hours reading up on the latest interview techniques, the best questions to ask and how to demonstrate your experience in a way that relates to the job you are applying for. I studied each company’s website to learn as much as I could about them, only to hear nothing back, I mean zero, not even a “thank you for your application”.
It took a while for me to realise that I was feeling anxious because I was effectively putting the future of my financial security into someone else’s hands and that was not sitting comfortably with me at all. I got to work and started doing some research on how to start your own business. I stumbled upon the term Virtual Assistant and as I started to look further into it, I knew that I wanted to do something similar. I was beginning to feel excited at the thought of starting my own business and having a job whereby the amount you earn is directly related to the action you take. I’m not shy when it comes to taking action, so this suited me down to the ground.
And that my friends, is how CC Shared Services was established!
While still a relatively new business (1.5 years) – I have had the pleasure of working with some great business owners. I feed off their passion and enthusiasm for business and feel proud to support them when I see them achieving the success they are striving for. I also know their struggles.
I understand the amount of effort required to ensure your business is successful and I know only too well there is so much to learn at the beginning and the overwhelm that comes with that! I’m a helper by nature, so nothing gives me greater pleasure than to support people in business and help them to achieve their goals by managing the tasks that are not their forte, I’m happy to be the person behind the scenes cheering them on every step of the way.
